What exactly is a certified, or “sworn”, translation? A certified translation is performed by a translator who has sworn an oath in court. When the translator signs and stamps the document, he or she certifies that the translation corresponds to the original document, and the translation can then be used by the authorities.

Not all translators are qualified to provide this service.
Which documents require a certified translation?
All documents relating to civil status, such as birth, marriage and divorce certificates, and also diplomas, contracts, notarial deeds, official correspondence, criminal records, etc.
